With 'Tank You for staying', FarmCamps rewards families who deliberately holiday close to home
FarmCamps is launching the campaign 'Tank You for staying' for this summer. Families who book a summer holiday during the campaign period automatically receive €52.08 off their stay. That amount is based on the average travel distance to the farm, with FarmCamps covering both the outward and return journey at €0.15 per kilometre.
With this campaign FarmCamps wants to reward families who consciously choose a holiday close to home this summer. Because as far as FarmCamps is concerned, staying in the Netherlands deserves a little something extra. No grumbling about travel costs, no stress about long queues at Schiphol or traffic jams heading to southern Europe. Just get in the car, head to the farm and spend the holiday among the cows, chickens and sheep, having a great time with the whole family. They are happy, you are free.
BACKGROUND
Holidaying close to home is becoming more attractive.
For many Dutch families, a summer holiday abroad has become considerably more expensive in recent years. Flights, accommodation and on-the-ground costs have all risen, so more and more families are consciously looking at alternatives closer to home.
FarmCamps sees that movement reflected in its booking figures. A holiday in the Netherlands stopped being second choice long ago; it is now a deliberate one: close by, manageable, original and surprisingly good fun. On the farm there is space, freedom, adventure and warmth. All without hours of travel.

No grumbling about travel costs
Anyone booking a summer holiday stay through FarmCamps now automatically receives a €52.08 travel allowance as a discount on the booking. The amount is based on the average travel distance of FarmCamps guests: 173.6 kilometres one way. For the campaign, FarmCamps calculates €0.15 per kilometre driven, for both the outward and return journey.
FarmCamps deliberately opted for one fixed amount rather than a calculation per postcode. Clearer that way. Simple, fair and the same for everyone. The discount appears automatically as a 'Tank You discount' in the booking summary when you book for this summer.

A HOLIDAY CLOSE BY THAT FEELS FAR AWAY

The campaign is rolling out across digital channels such as Google, Meta, TikTok and YouTube, supplemented by podcasts and FarmCamps' own channels, including the website and CRM. The campaign was developed and rolled out together with Draft Digital, FarmCamps' online marketing agency.
